Mastercard become a headline partner of BRC Learning

Mastercard has become a headline partner of BRC Learning. Mastercard's focus will be on our flagship programme, The BRC Leaders' Summer School, which provides two distinct leadership programmes with the aim of developing exceptional leaders in the retail industry.

Supporting retailers around the country

Mastercard works with retailers around the UK to help them grow, from corner shops to multinational brands. It helps the smallest businesses through its Strive UK programme, which offers free access to training and targeted business advice, including access to experienced businesspeople and boards.

“We are thrilled to have Mastercard as our headline partner,” said Lucy Crowther, Director of Learning at the British Retail Consortium. “Their commitment to promoting people, prosperity, and planet resonates deeply with our mission to create a whole generation of leaders who are more literate in subjects such as inclusion, climate, and sustainable profit. We believe that their support will help us to make a real difference in the retail industry and beyond.”

Empowering people to reach their full potential

Mastercard is committed to providing insights to both the delegates on their programmes and the BRC’s alumni community. Mastercard's support continues beyond the Summer School, as they will continue to offer their expertise and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Mastercard’s dedication to building connections between people and businesses means that its team understands the value of networking and learning from industry leaders. With Mastercard's support, both current and alumni participants of the BRC Leaders' Summer School can continue to grow and make a difference in the retail industry and beyond.
“To build the retail industry of the future, we need to develop the leaders of tomorrow,” says Suren Nawalker, senior vice president, business development at Mastercard. “We’re excited to partner with BRC Learning to help equip retail leaders with the skills, contacts and experience they need to thrive in a changing sector. Beyond the summer school, we’ll keep investing and innovating for British retailers to help them grow their businesses and boost the economy.”
